The New Forest was magnificent last week, although it is starting to get colder now. We had a fantastic time and thank you for still renting electric bikes.

Hire Charges

Part day hire is only available on the day in question if bikes are available and may only be booked from 12.00pm (midday).

Deposit

Customers will be asked to authorise a deposit of £100. This deposit will only be taken if the bikes are not returned within 24 hours of its due return time or Yellowbike’s Booking Desk has been notified and arrangements made. A maximum of 4 bikes can be hired in any one booking, so if the customer wishes to hire more bikes, they will need to repeat the booking process. If they subsequently discover there are not enough bikes available to be booked, then they can cancel their previous booking should they so wish. For immediate hire, if the customer discovers that there are not more than 4 bikes available please phone the booking desk who will arrange a refund.

If the bike is returned without a helmet, then the customer will be charged £15 as being the replacement cost. If the bike is damaged, then the full cost of repair will be charged. Please note that it is a condition of hire that Yellowbike’s decision on whether a bike is damaged or not is final.

Subscription Fees

There are no subscription fees to use the Yellowbike service. Hirers will not need to be previously registered with Yellowbike, however personal details will be captured in order to process the reservation, rental and payment of bicycles.

Yellowbike will ask for your mobile phone number and an email address. Credit card companies may ask for your personal details for security checks. Yellowbike does not store your credit card details.

Notes relating to hire charges

  1. Rental Period is from 6.00am in the morning until 7.30pm at night for the day in question.
  2. Hiring within two days from date of booking For parties of more than four, please read the FAQs
  3. Late Returns. Returning a bicycle outside of the rental period will result in an additional full day's rental charge plus a fee of £10.00.
  4. Failure to Return the Bike within 24 hours of its due return time will result in a loss of the deposit.
  5. Lost Bikes should be notified at once to the Bookings Desk who will notify the Police that a bike has been lost or stolen. Details of location and circumstance will need to be forthcoming. In line with Yellowbike’s Terms and Conditions, Yellowbike will seek to recover the full replacement value of the bike which has been mislaid.
  6. Responsibility. The customer is responsible for the security of their bike whilst it is in their care. A combination lock is available with every bike to enable customers to enter their own personal number, which they should not forget.
  7. In the event that the Bike Manager is called out to release a bike because the customer has forgotten his 4 digit combination lock code, a charge of £25 will be rendered.
  8. Customers will be asked to confirm they have read and accepted our Terms and Conditions.
  9. Disputes should be addressed to the Company’s Registered Address.
