Staying safe
All bikes are cleaned and checked for road worthiness on a daily basis.
Helmets will be provided and customers are encouraged to wear them at all times when cycling.
Yellowbike’s Manager will be available should advice be needed.
Yellowbike’s Booking Desk will be manned 24/7 for those that need help.
Whenever you hire a bike, it is good practice to check:
- The seat, pedals and handlebars
- The bell and brakes
- The tyres are inflated
- The saddle is set to a comfortable height.
A safe cyclist will always:
- Adjust the braking distance in inclement weather
- Wear the helmet which is provided at all times
- Wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions
- Obey the rules of the Highway Code, Traffic lights and road signs
- Avoid riding on the pavement.
- Know where he is going before he sets out
- Cycle cautiously – other people can be very foolish!
